The foreign-born black population in the United States has steadily increased since 1970. Some research suggests that Black immigrants outperform native born Blacks when it comes to earnings and educational attainment, so it is natural to ask if this advantage extends to homicide rates.
Just as you would expect Foreign born blacks have lower homicide rates than the native born Blacks, but do note that it is still much higher than the White rate (as you can see in this post).

Because of the way the CDC codes place of birth in death certificate data, the break down by country can be pretty rough. The only categories available are Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Canada, US Island Territories and and a group all category called Remainder of the World. In this case Remainder of the World is mostly Africa.
